Are you an arable farm manager? If so we have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced arable professional to train to be a commercial agronomist.
This is a role for someone with significant arable farming experience and expertise and who lives in the Lincolnshire/ Cambridgeshire area
Our client is a forward looking distributor of crop production products and provider of agronomy support services to arable farmers and vegetable growers.
Candidates will have at least a few years practical farm experience in the UK within the arable farming sector and may be a farm manager or arable unit manager seeking a new and more attractive career without a “glass ceiling”. The role demands experience of working with people to deal with customers in a technically and commercially effective manner.
Whilst this is a technical role it is also a commercial role and candidates must be able to demonstrate an awareness of commercial realities and feel confident that, with training and support, they could become a technical sales agronomist and more.
BASIS and FACTS qualifications will be ideal but are not essential as training will be given to those with enthusiasm, self motivation and the determination to succeed in a technical but commercially competitive sector.
Ideally candidates will possess a degree or HND in agriculture for this technical role.
Rewards and career opportunities in the commercial sector can be significant. Remuneration will be based upon a good basic salary, a company car, pension contribution and performance bonus.
